UAS 100. Career Explorations and Intro to Unoccupied Aircraft Systems. 1 Credit.

Covers basic information of flight applications as they relate to careers as a professional unoccupied aircraft systems (UAS) pilot. Prerequisites: (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.

UAS 101. UAS Pilot Test Prep. 2 Credits.

Covers the knowledge required to complete the FAA 14 CFR Part 107 Pilot Certification test which is required to obtain licensure/certification as a remote pilot. Includes the FAA Airman Certificate Standards (ACS) in the following five areas: Regulations, Airspace Classification and Operating Requirements, Weather, Loading and Performance, and Operations. Prerequisite: (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.

UAS 102. UAS Flight Operations. 2 Credits.

Explores mission planning for safe collection of imagery and data. Develops piloting and crew skills development, including flying UAS, Aeronautical Decision Making, and Crew Resource Management. Examines multiple methods of analysing UAS imagery and data. Prerequisite: UAS 101 or instructor permission, and (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.
