UAS 100. Career Explorations and Intro to Unoccupied Aircraft Systems. 1 Credit.

Covers basic information of flight applications as they relate to careers as a professional unoccupied aircraft systems (UAS) pilot.Prerequisites: (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.

UAS 101. Unoccupied Aircraft Systems Basic Pilot. 2 Credits.

Covers the knowledge required to complete the FAA 14 CFR Part 107 Pilot Certification test which is required to obtain licensure/certification as a remote pilot. Includes the FAA Airman Certificate Standards (ACS) in the following five areas: Regulations, Airspace Classification and Operating Requirements, Weather, Loading and Performance, and Operations. Prerequisite: UAS 100 or instructor permission, and (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.

UAS 102. Pilot in Command Operations. 2 Credits.

Explores multiple flight applications as they relate to professional UAS pilots. Investigates various UAS. Required: UAS 101 or proof of passing the FAA 14 CFR Part 107 Pilot certification exam. Prerequisite: UAS 101 or instructor permission, and (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.
