The Associate of Arts Transfer degree is an opportunity for students to complete lower division degree requirements for an Oregon public university bachelor’s degree at PCC.  

Any student having the Associate of Arts Transfer (AAT) degree recognized on an official college transcript will have met at least 30 credits of general education requirements at any Oregon Public University (OPU), and comparable standing in the major to the status of students with the same number of academic credits in the major course of study who began their postsecondary studies at the public university. Students who complete the AAT will retain eligibility to graduate following the bachelor’s degree requirements in effect at the university during the academic year the student first enrolled in the community college that awarded the AAT for seven years.

The Associate of Arts Transfer degree is awarded to students who meet the following:

1. Associate Degree Comprehensive Requirements
2. Associate of Arts Transfer Degree Requirements:
   1. Core Transfer Map (CTM) requirements: 

All courses must be completed with a grade of “C-” or better.  Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in CTM courses at the time of completion.  The CTM includes a minimum of 8 courses and a minimum of 30 credits; if the credit total for the required courses is less than 30 credits, students must select an additional PCC General Education course in addition to the courses listed below.

• WR 121Z
• Any 100-level or 200-level MTH or STAT course
• 2 General Education Arts and Letters courses
• 2 General Education Social Sciences courses
• 2 General Education Science, Math, and Computer Science courses that are designated as Lab Science
• 1 General Education course that is designated as Cultural Literacy.  This can be one of the required 6 General Education courses above.

b. Major requirements:

All AAT candidates must complete a program of approved coursework in the major field. The Programs and Disciplines section of the Catalog contains these coursework requirements for each AAT major program.

c. Elective requirements:

All candidates must complete elective credits to meet the overall minimum requirement of 90 credits for this degree. Elective courses may be any number of credits. Elective credits may include any 100-level or 200-level course.  Universities may have limitations on certain types of elective credits. Some universities may recommend additional courses prior to transfer.  Students are encouraged to work with an advisor to select electives.
